The Akebonos Are Coming!

Just had a note from corporate at Akebono that EUR pads are close to launch for 2 Series blue caliper MSport brakes. It's still a couple of months from production, but the part numbers will be EUR1609 for the fronts and EUR1656 for the rears. We may be on our last bottle of wheel cleaner!

Lol it's about time! I wash my car and clean my wheels and after just a little time of driving the wheels are covered in brake dust from the stock brake pads.

In addition of the brake dust relief, how better these pads are compared to our OEM pads?

I suspect they will be about the same. That was my experience when I swapped them out in a couple of Mercedes-Benz cars. It is likely Akebono's dynamic objective for their engineers to achieve.

Check tirerack.com or Amazon. Just search those part numbers. Amazon has very good pricing.
