2015 X5M Performance Part Numbers

Does anyone know the part numbers for the X5M Performance Parts?

CF Mirrors?
CF Front Spliter?
CF Suede/CF Steering Wheel w/Blue at 12 o'clock?
CF Fender Attachment?
CF Shifter?

Thanks,

Joe

All I have is 61312343709 for the Shifter. It's an existing part, and cross-compatible with the F80 I believe. Once I have the others, I'll share.

Also, I'm not aware of any carbon fiber exterior accessories - just the mirrors. Where did you see others mentioned?

Do you have a pic for the CF front splitter? And also for the fender attachement?

Haven't seen them in official pics

Thank You! Btw, it's interesting that you bought your X5M on the East Coast, is that so you can take delivery at BMW Center?

Nope. I'm just very loyal. Also didn't help that West Coast dealers had nothing.

BTW - I'm not finding any mention (nor are my NA friends) about any additional carbon fiber accessories for the car. What is your source?

That's great. I tend to be loyal if the salesman is straightforward. With the BMW Dealer I go to in NJ I've been dealing with the Sales Manager, he's really a great guy and we became more friendly outside of the sales world.
The parts manager showed me list of available items for the X5M, no pricing, no stock numbers. If I remember, you have an inside guy at the factory, I've always taken your information 100% legit. So I'm sure your right by saying that there is no such thing. Again, thank you for the info.

I know too many people inside. I'd love for them to offer more products like they do for the regular F15. I'll dig some more.

So it looks like the guys who ordered the Carbon Fiber interior there will be a Carbon Fiber Inlay for the center console? When you see the M Performance for X5M it states that there will be a Alacantra/Carbon Fiber surrounding the shifter. I would have thought that was coming with it? Interesting how many things will come down to be extras.

No alcantara/carbon shifter surround. The only alcantara/carbon piece is the long piece that crosses the dashboard.

The trim for the doors and dash is one kit. Center console and shifter trim are both separate.

The only crappy thing is that it's got to be a pain in the neck to replace the dash board part and I wonder what it will be like to remove center console?

Replacing the dash piece isn't difficult. It's a multi-step process, but nothing that isn't possible with a little patience. There's a silver trim piece on the far end that pops off, allowing you to remove the air vent and disconnect the harness. Once that's out, the remainder of the trim pops off. Disconnect the harnesses, swap the start/stop button/ASS button and air vents, and reinstall the new piece. [I'm not 100% sure if the center air vents are attached to the trim piece or not. On other BMW's, like my F10's, they were.]

The center console should just pop out if the design hasn't evolved too much from the E70. The control buttons (M buttons, cameras, PDC, HDC) and the iDrive controller are attached to the trim piece. The GWS and parking brake/auto hold switch are not. Unhook the harnesses and swap the buttons. That's it.

As we get closer I'll confirm this. Right now it's premature since our cars aren't built and we can't order parts.

LOL. Too true

Are your insider sources still indicating production will start Week 11? Any VPC holdback delays expected?

My pleasure.

Over this weekend I'm going to try and update my post with estimated pricing for some of these things based on similar parts available for other chassis. Once the final pricing is released I'll update that too.

Owing to the fact that the M Performance carbon fiber interior trim kit is only available as a kit, I'm contemplating a last minute change to my order to switch to the aluminum trim.

The photos I've seen haven't convinced me yet that the CF weave is a close enough or exact match between the two. I'd really rather not have to pop off all of the door panels to replace the trim on a brand new car.
