Did you get the offer of free one day PDC
driving and 2 hotel nights if you finance or lease a car through BMWFS? And it says on a new 2007 or 2008 BMW. Looks like they are hurting as perhaps Americans have tightened their belts? Does seem like they are pushing their bread and butter, the lease, like there's no tomorrow....cash for them is king. It irritates me that the USPS opens the mail and then stuffs it back in to the envelope (those dots to seal it both busted open as in cut with a letter opener). Wonder if I missed any freebie inside? But it does say non transferable so the joke's on the postman....

I was offered it last august. here is the thread that talks about it. From what I understand it is offered to limited people. Even the BMWNA didn't know about it when I called. They said it was offered to only to M customers but obviously that wasn't true.
Makes me feel special because I think I'm on the bottom of the totem pole. I only drive a 328i I just have to pick a date and go! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91877

What STE92VE posted is accurate. It is for a One Day Driving School here and not PCD.
Anyone can lease/buy an ordered BMW and take PCD. The offers above were sent out to select customers. How those customers were chosen, I have no clue other than maybe lease end date If you were lucky enough to get it and plan to lease another BMW, you should definetely take advantage of it

Hi Johnathan,
What should I be looking forward to in the full day on the track? Will I get a chance to get behind a wheel of a M3? Just looking for some insight. I will probably go down in August!

I have a car on order that I plan on buying through BMW financial services. Should I talk to my dealer about getting this? The car won't be here for another month, do you think I can still get in on this deal, I would love to go down there and do this.

I don't know who or how you qualify to recieve this offer but it has to be offered to you by BMWNA and it's not transferable. I tried to get my friend in on the same offer by calling and writing a letter to the person at BMWNA who is listed on the offer letter, only to get a rejection letter back. It would have been nice to go with a buddy!

Sorry, I actually meant PDS--Performance Driving School. What the letter says is, "For a limited time buy or lease any new, 2007 or 2008 BMW model and we'll give you a One-Day class at the BMW Performance Driving School in Spartanburg, SC. As an added bonus, lease or finance through BMW Financial Services and we'll include two nights of hotel accomodations at the Greenville Marriott."
I decided to login to see the exact terms, and my code is invalid. Now I understand why my mail was opened and all the info stuffed back into the envelope. Very shady USPS! Buying a BMW on a mail carrier's 80k salary--how you gonna make the payments? No $600 rebate check for you, you make too much! |

The one day performance driving school and PCD (Performance Center Delivery) are different things. Performance Center Delivery is to pick up your car. The One Day Performance Driving School is for M owners (or those willing to pay for it).
Performance Center Delivery (PCD, not PDC) will get you one night hotel for two and an exclusive delivery experience. It includes: a session of "Other Roads" in a new X5, a ride along lap in a new M5 with a performance center driver, a loaner 6er that you drive back to the delivery center from the performance center, and a two hour session with a delivery specialist who sits down with you and goes over every bit of your new BMW. PCD is offered to anyone leasing/financing a new BMW through BMWNA. The One Day Performance Driving School is for M owner (and those willing to pay) to help them learn to drive their new M (or otherwise) to it's fullest capability. I'm not getting an M so I don't know the full details of this school. I do know that it is around $600 for non-M owners. My rep new all about it, all of them at United BMW Gwinnett do. I asked if I was eligible, she looked at me and said "Of course!" If you have a rep who knows about BMW enthusiasts, they will more than likely bring it to your attention. If your CA didn't, you should probably spend some extra time going over bmwusa.com to find everything else they negelected to mention. I hope I got it right, that's how I understood everything. I'm doing PCD Feb 21st and plan on doing a full write up including pictures by my (girlfriend) photographer. If you still have the opportunity to go to Greer/Spartanburg...DO IT!!!!!! EDIT: Every now and then BMW will do the special offer thing to try and get new customers. When I bought my e36 and registered with the owner's circle, they offered me a session when they came through Road Atlanta. I wasn't old enough, so they sent me to the Teen Driving School. It was boring, but I got to show all those damn kids how to drive. I also met Samuel Hubinette of D1 stardom. I learned how to drift from him. That was the coolest part.) |

If your really set on going ....call the number to Spartanburg and tell them what has happened. That number is connected to the name on the offer..I believe.

It's not a PCD. I talked to the people at Spartanburg and I won't be going through all the orientation but the whole day is on the track. It's a free one day track school like for the M people. But your right everybody knows about the PCD and how it's offered to anyone. It's only good if your near the delivery center where you have to pick up your car.( like you who is in Gwinett county that is only 3 hours away).....but for people like me in Seattle the PCD wouldn't work. I wouldn't want to drive my car home from SC. Read the thread more carefully.
