OT : Ford Mustang UK

Now appears on the online ford build website.

http://www.ford.co.uk/ConfigureyourC...2.3%20EcoBoost

Doesn't feel right seeing a 5.0L V8 for sale under £33k!

Not just the 33k bit, just look what options it actually comes with, puts a number of manufactures to shame with what is fitted as standard.

Yeah I built one on there earlier in the week. Soooooo tempted! Even with just about every option ticked (there aren't many as a lot standard as mentioned) it came in under £37k

Ford have said they are looking at 12 new performance models by 2020.

Likely to be mix of current and probably some new stuff.

The new AWD Focus RS will be getting sold in the States this time round.

Also Mountune have the Mustang on its radar for performance upgrades (only seen stuff for the 2.3 Ecoboost engine), so that will be interesting.

I do like the idea of an AWD RS Focus.

I'd like to see some more specs on the Ford site , like auto/manual 0-60, in gear, mpg etc.

It's more a case of making sure it does more than 20mpg officially.

There are reasons the price is what it is...

Have any of you ever seen inside one of these... Unless they have seriously improved them since I did, "Jewel-like" would not be words that spring to mind..!!!

I dnt think ford really push themselves as a Premium car manufacture.

They pretty much cover the £12k to £30k range, with some models in the £30k to £35k range.

Admittedly, the interior of the F3x is rather poor n places and some plastics suppliers used by BMW we would not use in our products as quality is either not consistent or is below standards.

I wonder how much BMW / audi etc would charge for a 5.0 V8 saloon / Vert, I bet the price difference would cover a custom made interior..

Then for about £1700, you add the options pack for even more goodies.

The 5.0 V8 is definitely one NOT to debadge lol.
