Do I need block-off-plates when deleting EGR (software) on my N57 325d?

Hi.
I read that it is recommended (for safety) to install block-off-plates on the 335d when you delete EGR (software).
What about on my 2011 N57 325d? Is it OK to delete EGR just with software, or should I install block-off-plates to (if they exist for this engine)?
Thanks.
