No more Castrol

In getting my oil service at Etobicoke BMW service and they tell me that no more Castrol and they have switched over to Shell.A little surprised but Shell does own Penzoil.

If you don’t mind me asking, how much do they (Etobicoke BMW) charge for oil change?

You can PM me if you want to keep it private.

Thanks.

This one was the scheduled one which BMW paid for.I had 16200 on the car with 2600kms left till service was due according to the CBS.I paid $180 tax in for an intermediate oil change which included a new drain plug which I did at about 9000 kms.

Thanks for the info.

$180 tax in for oil change is not that bad considering it was performed at BMW, did it also include new filter?

This seems cheap considering what BMW Mississauga charged for oil change on the e92 m3. Maybe the shell oil is cheaper.

The S55 uses normal 5-30 not the 10-60 like the S65 used.

But does BMW Etobicoke not carry the 10-60 from Castrol?

As I do not have my S65 anymore,I do not know! I am sure they still carry a proper oil for the older engines.
