Mystery wires

I just noticed there's a red and blue wire going into a small black connector sticking out of the right front corner of the rear seat. This is on a 2007 335i (luxury, sport, heated seats packages) sedan.

Anyone have any idea what this might be? No obvious malfunctions in the car.

its used by the dealer when cars are sitting on the lot, has to do with power and the battery, just tuck that thing under the rear seat and thats all, mine came like that too.

Thanks. I figured it was inconsequential but didn't have a clue what it was.

People try to explain everything away by blaming it on the flux capacitor... but, alas, it's never the flux capacitor...
