Dropping my car off at the dealership to get checked out...
when i press the strat/stop button, it takes anywhere from 3-8 seconds to start whihc isnt normal...i scheduled an appointment for monday and ill be dropping off my car...they offered to drop it off when they're done, but im not sure i wanna do that...should i opt for a loaner? if so, how do i go about that...should i call them back and request one? or should i ask them when i drop my car off? thanks

If that's your only problem I would wait till you go through this tank of gas and part of the next to see if the problem persists.
I've had this same thing happen 3 times about. It was just related to the gas. |

Those are the symptoms of a bad HPFP. When you bring it in, they will be able to diagnose the problem to see whether it is the HPFP or not.
About the loaner, if I recall, you're under 21 right? I know that some dealers have strict rules about loaning cars to anyone under 21. You should check with your dealer. Good luck with everything. If it is the HPFP, there's plenty in stock, so you should have your car back in a day or two.

I wish all the dealers were like our land rover dealer.....we have been loyal with them for over 15 years though, they gave my bro LR3 loaners when he was 16.
Oh yea even though I dont have HPFP it sounds like its just that

i think you should call first because if they agree to give you a loaner i think the appointment will have to be rescheduled because some dealers don't have that much loaners out otherwise if you don't want to wait they will show you to a car renting company and they pay for all the expense except for the deposit which you pay on your own and get back after returning. this happened to me one time when i had to take my car to the dealer as an emergency so they didn't have a loaner ready for me.
