Your putting it to close to the edge which will leave a gap. Just put it about 3/4 of an inch away from the edge and two inches away from the corners. But that's more than enough. Good luck

Those pieces typically don't have the best tolerances/dimensions, so you need to place it on the trunk lid and see what areas are actually contacting the surface of the trunk and which ones aren't. You can put as much tape on there as you want, but if it is not touching the trunk, there might as well be nothing there.

Yea, i did the same thing and put tape everywhere and it left gaps. So just put one long tape down the middle and some stripe on the back corner and you would be good. Just let it cure to sick on your car I had mine on there for about 6 months and i used less tape then that.

Throw that tape out now.. Take it off and trash it. Go to the store get some 20lb 3m tape.

Update: finally a dry warm week and I have put the spoiler on, bad news is that fitment on the end of the spoiler tips is bad I tried putting stacks of bricks on microfiber towels to press it down for 3 days. I t didn't work, so now thinking about purchasing the oem performance spoiler next year

Get a refund or tell him to send you a new one. I had no problem with my vendor (from TW) sending me a new one after mine had some bubbling issues.
