Struts leaking at 6k miles???
I was hearing a popping/clicking sound when turning the wheel backing up or going forward. Took it to the dealer and they told me the strut is leaking oil... Says it's very rare for this to happen. It's a brand new 2015 428i coupe with ONLY 6,000 miles... My last bmw 328i was a nightmare and had every issue known to man, now I'm worried I'm going to have a ton of problems in the future with this one if things are already going wrong... I live in CA, good roads, and don't drive crazy. Any insight?

I'm in NorCal. Well, the fortunate thing is everything is 100% covered, as was my 328i. I had bought the 328i used, so I figured that starting fresh with a brand new 428i would solve some problems. At this point, it's going to be my last BMW!

Why do you think all new cars and new shocks for that matter have a warranty. Some parts fail. Your dealer is correct it,s rare but does happen. Remember there have been two space shuttles which failed too despite billions spent on their design and manufacture.
