OT Jag XE

Just configured the XE R-sport

went for the 200PS petrol AT...prices look attractive....started at just under 30k...

Then added some options and the price went up by 8k....

The calculator is a useful tool as well for a quick on cost per month.

But it does look nice/different....seems like every 2nd car on the trip to work is a 3 series....which might tempt me to change, just so it's a less common sight. I was even contemplating an Infiniti for the same reason, until I read some reviews.

Anyone else thought of changing theirs for the same reasons?

On a different note, I'm tempted by the offer on the PPK currently £750 I think. and maybe the ACS back box

I would like some individuality in my car but I wouldn't choose an inferior car just for exclusivity. Not that I'm saying they're inferior, just my own general principles in the buying decision.

Unfortunately if you want an msport 3 series you've not a lot of options with colours or wheels, which is my biggest annoyance.

Trouble is in these days of cheap PCP and lease deals the likes of BMW, Audi, VW, even Jag are as common as fords and vauxhalls.

If you want any sort of exclusivity without it being shite you need to spend over £80K these days...and I do mean spend it not just get it on the old monthlies.

I think the lack of colour choice and alloys is actually very poor customer service from BMW.

It's the same with the 5 series. Just really dull choices. Why can't you have the 5 in Melbourne red or Estoril blue unless you pay a load of money extra?

Yep, hit the nail on the head there.....jag had something like 18 different colours and 10 types of wheels.

I'll admit I do like the 3, and I'll probably get another or 4GC or X3/4. But sometimes I'd like something a bit less common....maybe a Lexus...even a mondeo is less common!!?

Had a good nose around an XE today as there was one in Trafford Centre (evil place) so was nice to have something to ease the pain of shopping. Very nice indeed....it was one of these. I looked at a XF before getting the F31 so will be interested to have a go in the XE
