Garage List
2009 BMW 335d  [8.00]
I believe Axel and Lenny clocked a hand time of 11.65 secs.

What does that mean, they used a stopwatch? One of those dyno 1/4 mile runs? Clocked a hand time sounds like one of those things that should be interpreted as 11.65s aka anywhere between 10.00 and 14.00s. Kind of like the "400HP" 335Ds in the UK running 14.0 1/4 mile passes

I recall Axel posting 378hp on the dyno, so yeah that would best TDIwyse for sure Plus TDI does not have a wagner intercooler and scoops. So, there you have it. This is how you make a lot of power.

This is a nice site that logs 1/4 mile times for all kinds of vehicles (link is for the 335d). Please add to the database with your results.

http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW--335d-Drag-Racing.html

The nice thing about a certified drag strip is it's a known commodity with governing regulations. Handheld devices, dyno's, etc. can all be messed with and give varying results, either intentionally or unintentionally.

Some examples of dyno variations for a given car on the same day at different dyno's... big difference from dyno to dyno.

Dyno HP TQ
Dynapack 249.4 242.8
DTS 257.6 556.5*
Dynojet (Win) 235.8 227.8
Dynojet (DOS) 243.7 237.2
Clayton 265.7 240.6
Super Flow 228.9 226.6

Dyno 1: Dynojet 224XLC 611.59 lb-ft and 656.32 hp
Dyno 2: Mustang all-wheel-drive dyno 568 hp and 617 lb-ft (and different rpm's where peak values occurred)
Dyno 3: Dynojet 564.40 lb-ft torque at 5,629 rpm and 638.77 hp at 6,070 rpm
585.3 lb-ft of torque at 5,368 rpm and 653.7 hp at 6,100 rpm
599.3 lb-ft of torque and 664.3 hp
Dyno 4: Dynapack all-wheel-drive dyno ~569 lb-ft and 561-602 hp (lots of variation)
Dyno 5: SuperFlow AutoDyn 30 608-641 lb-ft 624-638 hp
