Need a Tutor for Coding
Hey guys,
It is about time that I know how to code my car and am looking for some help. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to mentor me through this process? I definitely have the aptitude I just need some guidance. There is SO much info out there on this it can be quite....overwhelming. The basics to start I need to know. 1) What cable do I need 2) What software do I need and how do I download it FAQ I am looking to do simple stuff like code out corner light on headlights up to coding new Lci Headlights (bi-xenon adpative) to work on my car or even new injectors if they need updating. Thanks in advance!

The easier is probably get a Bluetooth or Wifi Dongle and purchase the BMWhat App for your smartphone or tablet.
Or get a K+DCAN cable and install INPA & NCS Expert which you can get the software here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=859474 (see the tutorial video on how to install it)

I just think its about time I learn how to do coding/diag through INPA/NCS Expert. That seems like a solid guide! Do you have some experience with either of those programs?

I'm new here and would need to code to retrofit LCI tail lights and turn off dimming and things like that to get HID angel eyes to work. Do the suggested cable/software work for these needs as well?
Why was I hearing Autologic coding was necessary for LCI tail lights? |

I see this one http://www.ebay.ca/itm/for-BMW-INPA-..._qi=RTM2067267
I can tell you that coding out the corners and new injectors is pretty straight forward.

I have a 2007 328i and an iphone. Does BMWwhat app work on my car? Do I need to have a wifi connection to get it to work? Sorry for the silly questions. I'm kinda confused about this. I know it should seem simple.

Basically just buy the BMWhat App wifi dongle off amazon, you phone will connect to the dongle via wifi and will allow coding. However since your car is a 07 it may not have the ability to code. I believe the cutoff date is 05/07 or something like that.

We tried the BMWhat App locally on my 07/2007 323i and it kicked out the message that a cable is required for coding. Got my cable and have been getting a feel for the files and programs.

If you cant do coding through the App period due to the cars production date I believe you have to buy a K+DCan Cable and use NCS Expert
