Anyone in Lexington, KY?
I've been seeing a bunch of the f8x M's running around here. Wondering if anyone was on this board. I would love to check out one of these cars, and really want to hear the exhaust. We have a BMW group that meets up pretty often as well.

Have you ever gone to the local cars and coffee here? It is the first Saturday of every month at the clarion hotel? I haven't been since last summer, but am planning on going with a few guys in our BMW group. We also meet up at least once a month. The last few times we have just met at my house and drank beer/ate, but now that the weather is getting nicer we will start meeting out somewhere and have diner and go on a drive or something. I would really love to check out your car sometime if you are available for a cars and coffee or meetup! I love the new m3, but our local dealer here is so uptight about test drives I haven't really gotten to see one up close yet. Anyway, thank you for responding to my thread. I will keep you up to date on our meet ups! -David |

+1. Half my family graduated from UofL, and they are always in an awful mood this time of year. Especially my brother in law. A grown man, and a lawyer at that, crying every time his team loses a game. I honestly thought after this season he would have run out of tears.

I rarely make CnC - it's been over a year. Won't make it in April, maybe May. I don't have a problem with DJ BMW except their lack of inventory. Bought mine at Isringhausen, which is in a smaller city but a much larger dealership with good inventory, pricing and shipping options. Service at DJ has been great. I'm in the BMW CCA but have never been to a KY meetup (was active in another state). Also a PCA member but probably will let that lapse. Eager for warm weather so I can get the winter wheels/tires off and drive it on summers! |

Grew up Louisvillelle. Spent some time at UK. Live in Virginia now. I've got mineral grey m4. Sakhir Orange interior. Dct. LOVE the damn thing. Total blast to drive. Every time. . Lifelong Louisville fan. Ive got plenty of Cat fan friends. But I've gotten out of practice in the give and take harasment game. Nobody gives a darn about college basketball in these parts... but we're still alive for one more at least..

I agree with you regarding DJ. I have always had great service experience with them, but when it comes to purchasing new vehicles we have traveled due to lack of inventory. With my wifes M235i we actually purchased from BMW of Silver Spring because I became inpatient and they were the closest dealer with a car speced the way we liked! I have only been to one meeting with the local BMWCCA, and it was over two years ago! They are a really nice group of guys, and every time I have seen them since they have always approached me and said hi. They are usually at C&C. I am actually not sure if I will be able to make this April's meet now after looking at the schedule, but I am going to try. I will definitely be at May's assuming the weather is nice. I will be sure to keep in touch as I am really interested in seeing an m3/m4 up close. GO CATS!! |

Here are a few pictures of F8x I saw this week. Also saw a SO coupe, but I can't find the picture. SO looked really good on the coupe, and honestly it wasn't my favorite color when I first saw it on an M5. So far I have seen every color on the road except for Austin Yellow, which was one of the colors I was most excited to see.
Picture taken from my work truck. Sorry for the eye sore =) Here is one I took last weekend of my M3. Lease ends next July and a YMB M4 with black 19's will be at the top of my list. I am just really interested to hear one in person as sound is one of the most important elements of the driving experience for me (I know that we all value different things in a car). |

Here is the info for cars and coffee if anyone is interested. I should be able to make it, and I believe a few friends will be coming along. Just not sure yet depending on UK game and family stuff for Easter.

Does anybody happen to have a set of 513m wheels they'd let me test fit on my f30? I know it's a long shot, but I wanted to see what it looks like in person before buying a set.
