Do the old ones just slide off? Are they screwed on or something?

I might have mine available - just waiting to see Tengo's exhaust conversion on Monday before I make a call.

Just twist and pull them off. Helps if you spray WD40 in between the exhaust and tip, from behind first, and leave for 5-10mins. Was fed up with the black stain that a petrol left on the lower part of the chrome tip.
Having seen a post about someone doing this with his X5 tips, I just spray painted mine with gloss high temperature paint (after high temp primer), and looks as good as the black chrome, without the ridiculous cost. (If the paint hadn't looked good, would've just bit the bullet and bought a black chrome one though).

Anyone got any advice on how to fit the new black OEM tips please? Just picked some up from the dealer and they seem extremely difficult to get on the exhaust. Old ones go on and off easy enough.

Is it just a case of brute force/hammer with a block of wood job?

Thanks

I just bashed them with the palm of my hand. Maybe a rubber mallet or your block of wood idea would be less painful though.
