Delivered: X6M Donington Grey 2015 (pics) - to chrome or not to chrome

Just picked this bad boy up from the dealer - put my order in end of November - finally got it this week.

Here's my build:
Sonoma Beige
B&O Sound
Executive Package
Driver's Assistance
Enhanced Bluetooth
Parking Assistance

36/12k Lease with bank fees/firstmonth/taxes upfront ~6k with tire/body protection for 1448/month. Original MSRP was 114,500 - leased at 106,500

My original lease came out to 1350$ but with the tire insurance/body protection, they added another $98. The finance manager said that those figures came from BMW and were non-negotiable - is this true?

Any how, the car is the finest thing i've ever had the pleasure of driving.

Was wondering if I should black out the chrome on the car. Any opinions?

Getting the front two and windshield tinted on Monday.

Will upload more photos upon request

Congratulations on the awesome ride!!! Donington Gray is an awesome color and shows the lines really well.

I would most definitely take off the chrome and have the M Performance black grills and side gills installed. That's the first mod I'm doing before I pull it off the lot.

Yes, please post more pics, also, please post up some interior shots too.

Congratulations! My DG/Mugello finished production today! Please post some more pictures to help kill the huge delay until delivery on the west coast

I don't dislike the chrome as much on the DG.... mine may stay for a while.

Congrats. Another vote for getting rid of the chrome.
I also call BS on the non negotiable tire insurance. I negotiated with Hassel BMW (now Freeport BMW). Even if it was true, the dealer can back out the price from the purchase price. In any case, enjoy the ride

I'm not a fan of chrome by any means but i think it actually looks great on that color. I'd leave it.

Amazing that they came off 8 grand from the sticker. Basically paid the invoice, right?

Looks stunning. Congratulations, can't wait to get mine.

Q: do you still have to do running-in procedure of 1200miles?

Unfortunately, my dealer told me there was no break in procedure on the car, and to drive it off the lot the way its intended on driving.

I went back yesterday for something and service told me there is technically a 1250 mile break in procedure and then you need to get the break-in service.

I've only driven 350 miles so far but I've been beating the engine. Definitely taking it easier now. Staying below 4500 rpm, keeping it in efficient mode, and no manual shifting yet.

Dude sweet ride! Lots of luck! Beautiful color inside. The chrome looks ok, but I prefer black.
