Narked with front splitter
Had mine fitted yesterday, Doesn't seem to sit right to me. Should it come right up to where the fog light grilles are or is there a gap? Doesn't seem to sit right on the edges (Too wide??)

Is it the genuine bmw one?
Mine sits flush all the way round but is short of the fog grills by about 4mm on either side.If it bothers me in the future ill mask off and colour the gap with plastidip which gives the same matt finish and is easily removable. |

I believe the genuine one come with additional inserts to butt right up to the fog grill things. Without it you get a gap. it's in the instructions from memory.

Is this what you're on about, think I mentioned this the other day somewhere? No gap between the top of the splitter and the fog grills on mine anyway, completely flush:

Had a look and got a bit of a gap on mine. But it's all black and I had the uprights painted black sapphire to match so can't really tell.
Mine is a genuine non Bmw part if that helps |

According to the official fitting instructions there is a gap between the splitter and the fog light grill. It says on light colour cars to colour in a 3-4ml line with a black paint pen.

That sounds a bit crap? Mines OEM and was fitted at the dealer, I didn't see any fitting instructions so can't comment on that but there's definitely no gap so no need to colour in anything, was done about a year ago so unless somethings changed since then.

Maybe it's because yours is for the 4 series? I have found these instructions which cover the 3 series and it doesn't seem to mention having to paint any black lines etc..
