Have a salvage/rebuildable 09 m3 wondering if i should sell whole or part out

Ive been on the fence about selling whole or parting out. I would take around 14k for the whole car. Its 09 dct with 21k miles. The lf frame rail was damaged and needs replacing. Thats the extent of the damage. Anyone with experience or insight on this subject it would be appreciated. Especially from someone who has done this kind of repair. If you or anyone you know is interested please let me know. It runs and drives. I can and will pull the engine if the price was right. Just saying. Thanks.

And it wont let me attach a pic cause the file size is too big but i do have plenty available

If it runs and lot drives you would easily get 14K. I'm assuming the bags are blown.

I just realized I didn't really answer your question. You probably can part it out for more if you are willing to put the time into it.

That looks pretty repairable. Would be kind of a shame to part it out when it looks like something that could made nice without extreme work.

Yes the air bags went off. The impact crush zone collapsed as it was supposed to and needs to be structurally rebuilt with a new frame rail. And the strut tower took some damage as well. But the parts are avail through bmw. Or perhaps some other means. If someone who owned a shop or knew what they were doing they could have a hell of a deal here. It would pain me to send this beast to the scrap yard. There has to be someone out there that wants to take this investment on.

This was written off as totaled? There doesn't appear to be any structural damage or any damage that would necessarily seem detrimental to the overall life of the vehicle.

Unless of course.. there's extensive engine damage under the hood :'(

There is structural damage i made that clear that the lf frame rail needs to be replaced. There is no extensive engine damage the engine runs very smooth when started. I will get better detailed pics up soon. Be patient please. I first wanted to see if anyone had any insight or was even interested. Now that i cleary know that some are i will absolutely take detailed pics. This is not a r&r body part repair job by any means. Its a place it on a frame rack and make sure everything is perfectly aligned kind of repair job.

Im sitting on a lot of money in car parts here if that be the case. I cant yet justify stripping it and sending it to a junk yard over my inability to repair it. I would much rather sell it whole to someone that can repair and enjoy it.

There are a couple more pics in the classified section. It was a gloomy day with a crappy camera phone. Ny new phone should take some astounding pics. It had better for the price haha.

Prob.. $16k-$20k if you part it out.. It all depends on the engine condition and mileage.

Its hard to know the damage from a couple of pictures. You really need to take it apart to see what needs replacing. As long as the frame rails are straight, other parts of the structure, and only the replaceable structures are damaged, its not to bad of a repair. You can buy a complete front clip, with all the parts you need to get this back on the road. It would be worth it if you are mechanically inclined, and have a few bucks in your pocket. I did a similar repair on my car, with mods, paint, programing, and registration it was just 16k to buy, and repair. Well worth it to me. If I had this car, I would repair it. Don't part it out, someone can fix it and have a nice Daily/track/not scared to beat on it car.

Because the damage bill by the stealership is greater than what the car worth
