wheel bearings covered by warranty?
I have a 2013 f30 with 22k miles. I've got humming coming from what I believe is my left front wheel bearing. 22k seems really early for a shot wheel bearing. Is this covered under factory warranty? Thanks!

Not sure about the warranty, but that hum is usually an indicator of the Run-flats wearing. That would be very early for a bearing to be going bad. Every run-flat i've had on my BMWs (all were Continentals) started humming at around 17-22 K miles. New tires (Michelins PSS2 or SS) solved the problem and car handled/rode much better.

The hum is from the run flats, they have a horizontal rubber line inside the cut outs, and at low speeds, especially if you are braking, and loading the front tires, there is a very loud hum. I'm at 26k miles on my run flats, will be replacing them with non runlets relatively soon.

The droning I hear is like hum hum hum. Its not constant. Its rhythmic. It gets worse when I steer left and disappears when I steer right.

Do you have any abnormal or uneven tire wear on the front tires such as cupping? Or any play in the wheel when jacked up and you grab the top and bottom of the tire and attempt to wiggle it in & out? if so, that is sometimes an indicator of a failing wheel bearing.

This happened to me with my old E92 at 35K miles. Dealer replaced wheel bearing under warranty. I suggest take it to the dealer if you're still under warranty and let them figure it out.

It is possible for a 'new' car get wheel bearing problem. My wife's 2012 Acura MDX replaced one front wheel bearing at 12k miles plus 4-wheel alignment under warranty. But I still think it is very rare. It should be covered under warranty. Go to your dealer and check it out.

Yes they are covered. If you are lowered though they might try to get out of it, but had a friend that is lowered but they still covered it.
