Will anyone try a bench flash for me?
If you are in this forum with any regularity, and you have read my posts then you know my dilema. I have a failed flash to my DME, I lost communication and can not reflash.
Before I go and buy a new DME, is there anyone with the ability to bench flash a MSV70, 7577970? If so, I will contribute $100 up front to try, and contribute another $400 if successful. I dont know any other way to put it. I have been searching for answers and looking for help, but is seems as if I am being shunned, and I honestly dont know why. If there is a specific reason, please pm me and let me know. I am trying to learn, and I dont feel like I have a lot to contribute, or I would. All I feel I can contribute is searching for answers and hope that my problems and their eventual solutions would help others in the future as previous posts have helped me. I do appreciate all of those that have helped directly and vicariously through others. |

Hey guys, thanks forr the replies. I dont have a bavarian tech cable, I will look into getting one.
I got some help and was told Progman might work to "replace" the DME, but when I try, it asks for the EKP hardware#, I enter it, but it keeps taking me back to the same screen to enter the # again. The fuel pump runs continuously when I get in the car, until I try to crank it. It runs as long as I am in the car with the key in start position, I mean it has run for 30 to 45 minutes while trying to work on dme, if that makes any difference. Thanks again for the replies! |

U need to charge your battery to 100%. If you try to flash are reprogram the dme and the voltage is to low are drops to low , it will fail . Contact wedge performance , he can help you. If I knew how to do it , I would help you.

Also pull the fuel pump fuse when you try to flash it . That way it won't run the whole time and drain the battery down. When I was having problems flashing mine that's what I had to do and I had to leave the battery charger hooked up even after it was fully charged so I didn't have to worry about the voltage dropping to low
