Language variant error sound ok
do you have anything in your CFG folder in your INPA directory? Sounds like you are missing it or the text file

Language variant error only means you have a mixture of English and German, which is very common. You should be able to select ok and continue.

Download full sp-daten - it weights about 10 GB for your car. You will find there DATA folder which has to be imported to WINKFP, to

c:\EC-APPS\NFS\DATA

SGDAT to:

c:\EC-APPS\NFS\SGDAT

And that's it.

Have you guys never heard of the BMW coding tool? It will automatically update all your daten and winKFP with the click of a mouse. PM me for the zip or link to the zip and explanation of it.

Yes, you can just copy files there, its not necessary to do it using winkfp.

Although, I have just recently found it's easier to import the assembly line using WinKFP and allowing it to "merge" the data. Of course, this is really only important if you work on multiple chassis.

Because, if you just use the coding tool to update WinKFP, it will remove the prior chassis's data prior to importing the new chassis.

Choose your E89 folder in your C drive as the source. I use the coding tool because I code multiple platforms but even if you're just doing the E89 it sure beats the hell out of all the copy and pasting. Not to mention how easy it is to use when you're doing simple aktiv/nicht aktiv coding changes. I made a youtube video for beginners to help out some friends that were having trouble getting started. I'd be happy to share with anyone that wants a look.
