Burning Oil
Hello all,
I have a 2011 US spec 335d with 43k miles. I purchased the car 6 months ago with 29k miles. I'm currently running JBD @ 75%. Even before the JBD was installed I was burning about a court of oil every 3k-4k miles. I've heard these engines burn oil but isn't that a little excessive? Is this normal? I drive the car pretty hard but I'm always concerned about the oil level. I shouldn't have to worry about oil levels in a newer car like this! Input? Advice? Should I bring it into the dealership for them to look at it? I've always had it topped off at the dealership so they have it all on record. |

Are you waiting 10 minutes after fully warmed up and then shut down before pulling dip stick? If immediately pulled after shutdown, you will get a low reading even though its full. If you know this already, proceed on. I normally change around 4000 miles and never been below full.
