Parking Sensors
Haven't got my F31 yet but just thought I would ask about how good the parking sensors are.
On my E46 the tone wouldn't go ballistic until you were about 3cm from the car behind. My wife's Honda CRV goes nuts at about 30cm - fat lot of use if you are trying to get into (or out of!) a tight space

10cm would be fine, 20 a bit OTT
Unlikely but does anyone know whether it's adjustable in software?

When the tones go constant, the distance is 30cm or 12 inches. This leaves enough room for you to walk in front of or behind the car....

Parking tones are really good
Starts with an intermittent beep which gets faster the closer you get leading onto a constant tone followed by a loud thud That's when you know you should really stop |

I find parking sensors great and probably accurate to 20 - 30cm (depends on height of obstruction).
For parking in typical box garage I use a laser parking aid on a beam overhead which hits Nav screen when I need to stop- this brings distance down to ~5cm. |

That said, throwing some of the junk on shelves at back of garage out so I had more space would have been even cheaper- but I'm sure I'll use it one day... |
