Ncs Expert, not showing FA/VO but shows vin
So my first go at coding to code lci rear lights.
I followed the guide on here but after i've created a profile and then go F1,F3, and select e89 (i have e90), and Cas or FRM, both CAS and FRM say something like "invalid cannot do #606". On the main screen where it says vin, that displays my vin correctly but next to Fa it is blank. So i assume it cant read my VO? I tried going F2 and just clicking some of the options in the drop down box but the few i tried just say the same thing..... Do i need to update spdaten or something else? Also when i overwrite/save things for the first time, this wont overwrite my remap will it? probably daft question but just checking!

That there is an invalid date. You should fix that first.
Are cas and frm in sync? Did you by mistake changed the date? What version of daten are you using? "Also when i overwrite/save things for the first time, this wont overwrite my remap will it?" Stock values are overwritten when you do basic function(f5) and sg_codieren. |

I have an old daten, 2005 I think. I am downloading daten 50.2 as I write but as I have an older ncsexlert of 3.0.8 I expect there will be problems...
Not sure i get what you mean by stock values...So will my engine performance remap be overwritten? |

Thanks TEQ.
Updated daten to 50.2 and it now identifies my VO/FA Then it error messaged saying error 1020, cannot open FSW PSW.man file. I checked in the folder and there was no such file. Created it, still didn't work. I could see trace was being written to. So I made a copy of the trace file and then changed the name of the original trace file to fsw_psw.man and voila....no more error messages and sg-codieren displayed as per the pdf. Ran out of time to actually code my lci rear lights out but hopefully should now be able to do it. Ps i did not update ncsexpert from 3.0.8.
