lowering options for 328xi
Alright well I have completely no experience when it comes to lowering a car. Not to long ago I switched out my 17s for a set of 19s, I didn't mind the gap...then..but now I'm dreading it, there's about a 2 inch gap and I want to lower it at least an inch. Can anyone give me any advice or recommendations? Thanks

Coilovers from KW, Bilstein, or BC Racing I think are your best options for ride quality and height adjustment.
If you don't have the budget for coilovers, then h&r springs (or possibly dinan if they offer x-drive springs) paired with Bilstein shocks would be the next best option. Disclaimer: This information is just based on what I've read on this forum. I am actually in the process of getting coilovers for my 428xi. |

I have BC Racing Coilovers... ~$1k for coilovers and ~ $400 for install. I haven't read any negative reviews before I decided to go with them.
If you go with lowering springs and then get matching shocks, its going to run you about the same. My thought there is, why not just go with something that is matched/tuned by the same manufacturer in one shot? But other people have gone that route and loved their decision also. kW's seem to be really popular here, but it was going to be double the cost for me, so I ruled that out. BC also includes camber plates for the front, so you get an added bonus. |
