My signature block and profile show my mods. Not cheap.

Pictures of my vehicle wouldn't be of much help as it is a sleeper not intended to call attention to itself.

I glean from the threads in this group that the list is:
1) tires (non-RFTs)
2) suspension
3) more suspension
4) some form of tune (chip or actual coding)
5) block off of the EGR
6) oil catch can
7) the delete of the DPF with a downpipe and coding (where possible)
8) transmission upgrade
9) LSD

I have only done #1.

The general E90 threads will give you the cosmetic upgrades that some are doing like LED lights, wheels and the such.

Have fun.

Also list how much you are looking to spend at the mest, so we can breakdown wheer your money might eb better spent depending on your budget.

i'm a newb, just wanted to see if someone were to come up with list of "nice to have vs must have"...

Must haves for powertrain longevity, I'd re-order above list spots 1 & 2 with:

1) CCV/ oil catch can
2) EGR block off

looks wise go for lowering springs and maybe rims and tires.

the aftermarket diff is a great idea too. but if your not doing hard dricing/racing, or snow driving it's not gonna help much.

I would definitely look into the M3 front upper and lower control arms. Get the TRW branded ones, they are cheaper than the "M" labeled ones and are exactly the same thing. The "M" logo is just filed off of them.

Brake rotors are made of cast iron, they will rust it's normal. The brakes are more than capable of overwhelming the available traction. If you want to shorten your stopping distances upgrade your tires. Tires determine your ultimate stopping ability. If you can still engage your abs, your brakes aren't the weak link.

Upgraded brakes, pads, etc. only matter if your suffering from fade from repeated high speed stops, an unlikely phenomenon on the road. In fact real racing pads can often perform worse on the road than regular pads as they require higher operating temps to produce full stopping power. They can be scary when cold or wet.

If after upgrading tires, I'd suggest better street performance pads like stop tech if improved stopping is your thing. Personally I don't think this is a weak area on this car.

Me I like power and would want a turbo upgrade after a tune.

Thanks for the info. Definitely want to upgrade to this when my OEM parts wear out.
