X5M Discounts off MSRP

Doesn't seem like X5Ms are in dealer inventory in my region, so the only option is ordering one. Any insight as to what kind of discount off of MSRP I can expect?

Minimal, lol! I only got $4,800 off mine plus the tax savings for trading my X5d M Sport.
The dealership I dealt with has 7 people on waiting list now for one.

Ha. I just emailed my dealer and they said MSRP. Guess it's time to find a new dealer.

I cut my deal for an X5M with an MSRP of $113,150 back in mid January. At that time I had no idea what the demand was or what others were getting, so I simply asked my CA if he would accept $4,300 off list. It sounded fair to me and I figured it left enough in the deal so the CA could still make a decent commission. He accepted without any haggling or hassles.

What's the invoice price vs MSRP? Was told by two dealers in NJ that the cars are going for MSRP. Also told that the residuals are high and may come down on May 1. Not sure what to believe.

Invoice is around 7% off MRSP.

I heard the residuals are high, about 3% higher than for the previous model. Not sure why they would come down on May 1 (is that the fiscal year beginning for BMW?).

Dealer said they think BMW set the residual too high and will "fix" it in May. But who knows.

re

Tell your dealer he couldn't be more wrong. Bmw actually set the residuals too low on the previous generation x5m as well as f10 m5 which has hurt sales. Having higher residuals incentivizes sales and leases. The majority of bmw owners lease. if they run a low to mid 50%s residual, sales will turn poor. M cars are not selling that well. you cant give an m6 gc , m6 convertible or m5 away for that matter ....sales of these cars are driven by a host of factors but affordability and favorable lease rates means a ton. They wont make the same mistake again. Wait a few months and should see availability open up.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the dealer may just have been trying to get me to place an order that day. Maybe.

After buying 6 BMW vehicles in a 6 year period, I am certain that the dealers have absolutely no idea what the next months lease programs will be until they receive the data from BMWFS a day or two after the month actually starts.

Invoice is very damn close to msrp x .910. Should be fairly simple to figure out.
Most straight up sales people, managers, dealerships, will show you if you just ask.
Contact Greg Poland at Pacific BMW, he'll take good care of you.

You can find invoice pricing at nadaguides.com, and the prices are accurate. I compared them to the printout the GM at my dealership gave me when I ordered my vehicle this past winter.

I got MSRP and was glad to get it. Took forever to get an allocation.

I think that seems to be. I got about 12% including other incentives that were available at the time.

I do not qualify for any incentives or programs and the dealer said if I do a diesel they could be much more aggressive especially on an in-stock unit but I am not sold on that idea.
