335D glowplugs, should i replace?

I'll be getting swirl flap blanks fitted soon, and was wondering would it be useful to replace all 6 glow plugs as well? The cost is about £60 shipped for Genuine BMW from leebmann.

Would i be wasting my money or would it be a good idea, as the manifold will be off anyway.

I mean i haven't got any issues with starting the car. But saying that, i have noticed over the last few weeks that it turns a little bit more before starting. Definitely doesn't start straight away as soon as i press the start button. It takes like 4-5 "turns" of the engine.

Glow plugs helps rough idling as well a lot of the time. For the sake of £60 you would be silly not too.

That's another point. Idle is ok, but it does jump a little at the start.

Think i'll just get them done then mate.

Edit: actually £86 shipped from leebman24

I got mine done as I had error codes for 3 of them , if I was you Id get some vacume pipe aswell and redo your boost controllers vacume pipe aswell while the engine covers off and intake , other than that make sure you glow plug control unit hasn't thrown a fault ether as it's the ideal time to fit a new one of them aswell!

Will do.

I would've ordered the cheaper ones that the fellow member linked to on eBay, but i need them by Monday so just ordered them.

What if diagnostics show no faults with the plugs? Should i get them done anyway while manifold is off, or return the plugs?

I'd just get them changed. You could avoid it now, then a fault appears in 3 months time, meaning its all got to come apart again!
