F80 @ New Hampshire Motor Speedway

So had my first track day in the F80 on Monday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Went very well, car performed great, only issue I had was the brake fluid boiling causing me to loose my brakes at one point (oops). I ran with no EDC due to an issue with the camber plates (working on a fix). In short, the F8X blows away most other cars, and for those who are wondering, blows away the E9X's. The car is truly fantastic. The chassis is incredible, the power is fantastic, and with better brake fluid (was running Motul RBF600, will be switching to Castrol SRF), the car would be really good. At this point, the only major changes I need to make is a set of KW Clubsports and R-Compounds. Keep in mind everyone else in my group was on R-Comps and Coilovers, whereas I was on KW HAS Kit with stock dampers and street tires. Overall, I could not be happier.

And I turned my right front caliper from blue to green

That's some serious heat for spring in the New England area. Wonder if bmw will get your caliper back to blue for you. One green would bug the crap outta me.

Next time I'm in I'll ask. Doesn't really bother me though, more likely than not it will just end up happening again lol.

I've been using SRF and haven't had any boil over yet, so good idea there. Add some SS lines while you're at it if you haven't yet.

I'm getting tired of the squeaky Carbotechs, I might try Padigs next time out. Thanks for the video, good driving.

Nice driving MasterC

You are far more comfortable with the car than I am

For those that don't like the standard Blue caliper color, you found an easy way to turn them into green without taking them off and painting

SS Lines already in there, SRF definitely sounds like a good idea! The Carbotechs are squeaky, but as long as they stop good I don't mind. Somehow still less squeaky than the Hawk HPS's on my E36 haha.

Thanks! I think it turned the caliper Oxford Green, I'll just say it's an individual option

did anyone else notice the surfboard attached to the back of the E90? Why would they allow such a thing...it could fly off and hit the other cars!

I assume you are being sarcastic, but yes the wing on the E90 was severely oversized for the car haha

You are wheeling that thing. You so right you need Rcomps tyou had hat car dancing with that JB4. Looks like a lightly massaged M3/M4 is a track weapon.

I feel for you guys in cold weather areas. I'm almost finished with the first half of the 2015 season here in Phoenix. Just three more track events left, then our "off season" is from Memorial Day to Labor Day due to the heat.
