I know this is based on personal preference "but my heart is with both the m3 and the 335is I can only afford one at this point.
Which Direction would you go m3 or 335is Thanks. |

Miles on each? Warranty? Any major repairs done? etc.. The m3 is probably more reliable, though it has many of its own problems like the 335is has its, the m3 is going to be pricier repairs also I bet. So again, warranty?
But I'd say m3, because racecar |

If you have to ask, then the 335is is probably your car

That's a tuff decision! But remember that newer will always be better. And m car maintenance will cost a little more down the road. Just go with whichever car 'connects' better with you.

For only a $1k spread, 56k miles isn't bad at all.
Plus, i'm judging those cars are at dealerships so I'm sure you have some decent haggling room to go. Offer 28k for the m3 and call it quits! What're the added options on each vehicle? Same transmission in each? that's another thing to consider. I'd say the M3 if you have the money for the slightly more expensive upkeep. Can't beat an M3 ; |

Whats wrong with the M3? Price seems too low for a clean title
EDIT: It was in an accident (Right front impact collision) on 5/24/12 and has 4 previous owners Last edited by drewnel22; 04-17-2015 at 01:40 PM.. |

335is. I find it much more usable day to day, and im assuming by your ~$30k budget that you're not immune to expensive upkeep costs. The M3 will cost substantially more in maintenance, gasoline, and possibly insurance.

Its a DCT...different type of clutch than you are thinking of. And if you are thinking of the DCT clutches I haven't heard of people having issues with FBO cars

335is. Just because the M3 was probably beaten to a pulp by four owners and an accident. If it wasn't, I would have gone with the M3 for sure!

m3, buy a used sc kit for 4k and you can sit at 550whp on 93 pump all day long. No N54 can do that, 550whp with a DCT in an M3 will whip the 335is FBO. Not to mention the m3 is set up for the track to start with, comes with a diff, etc. M3s will always be iconic and hold value much better than a 335. There are alot more 335s on the market than M3s.

What the actual hell, 56k miles and the M3 is a little under 30k? What is this sorcery?
If it's clean throughout, that would be a wonderful buy/steal, but all of the M3's I looked at prior to getting my 335i were well above my budget. I never even saw one below 40k with that mileage..albeit I did limit my search to within California though. Edit: Quote:
