Small concern about removing a dealer badge

(ooops was in the wrong section)

My dealer has already installed a sticking badge in the rear of the car, which I demanded to be removed before delivery [next Thrusday].

Not to be in paranoia mode, but did you ever see a real case that such a removal actually damaged the finish of the paint?

Goo gone and a fishing line should do the trick in less than 5 minutes !!

Well, it depends on the type of glue that they use to stick the badge. IN GENERAL, they use a mild one that won't leave marks. I remember that once I went to see the car that was going to be delivered to me in a couple o days. I saw the badge and asked to remove it. The did... But the day I went to pick my car the guy forgot about what I asked and reinstalled a new one!!! I took that one myself with one problem.

I would probably rather remove it myself then let them do it, they cant even wash a car without swirling it, I highly doubt that they could take the badge off without marring the paint. I would do it yourself and heat it up with a heat gun then use some floss to remove the badge. Then just use goo gone to remove any left over residue.
