Buzz off, buzz
I've been plagued by this annoying buzz from one door. On certain sound frequencies playing on my audio system - usually female voices and violins, I'd get a noticeable buzz/ vibration for a second. Completely and utterly annoying, even though it would only do it on certain tracks, maybe a couple times during a song. Today was the day I was going to fix that damn thing.
Somewhat of an expert in removing the door panels, having installed Bavsounds over the winter, I popped it off to find the source. Definitely not the lock pins, but maybe the plastic panel fasteners. Those things wiggle around loosely in the panel. So I put a little silicone caulk under each one and popped it back on. Fire up the song that buzzes and damn...still buzzing. After pressing, prodding and poring over the door I finally found the source. It was the plastic light bar for the ambient lighting. The very end of it sat just loose enough in the channel to vibrate. Thing drove me nuts for almost a year before I finally figured it out. A dab of silicone sealant on the end...no more buzzing...amen. |

Pretty much any kind of rubbery adhesive would work. Even superglue gel would work but that would be permanent. You just want to prevent it from vibrating. I figured silicone caulking isn't permanent and could be peeled out if you ever wanted to remove the thing....not sure why one would though. I just pulled the light guide out at the end, dabbed some caulk on the top edge and shoved it back in.

I have a buzzing/rattling from the right rear door, especially on Satellite radio. I took it to the dealer they ordered a new speaker which they will fit next week. Wonder if this is the real problem...I'll check today.
