e93 V2 vs Audi RS4

Hi,

I never thought I will post something like this but I am happy about it:

Drove from Innsbruck to Zurich today and played a bit with my car. Suddenly a RS4 was behind of me and we had a rolling start from 40mph. Both accelerated up to 150mph, I have been 1 CL ahead all of the time.

Currently my car has the PROcede V2 as the only mod, settings are 90% across the board, using 95.5 octane ( AKI ) gas.

I got used to the power and was surprised how fast my heavy e93 really is .

Cheers,
Eugen

An Audi RS4 revved as he drove by me the other day when I
was driving normal, I mean I do have an exhaust, but I was laughing
because a guy just revved at a car with 160hp less than him

+1
Yea, I think it's just a preconceived notion that all convertibles are heavy & slow. I have no trouble keeping up w/ my friends modified Cayman-S.
My car buddies seem to be surprised at how quick my E93 is, with just the JBS2H w/out even activating the "R" switch.

IMO...even though not quite as nimble & quick as the E90/92, BMW still put a lot of R&D into the E93 making it a blast to drive...

Sounds about right Eugen.
The RS4 traps around 109 mph.
With PROcede v2 in the heavy e93 you should be trapping around 110 mph.

The lighter R8 traps around 112 mph, and the e92 335i is 375 lbs lighter than the e93, and I pulled a couple car lengths on the R8 in two runs.

V2 really runs.

Driver, on Sunday I'm going to the drag strip for the first time with V2 and cat-back and BMC. I'm hopping for at least 12.8 @ 111 mph. Weather might be a problem, but we'll see. I'm very excited.

So if you maintained your 1 Car length the whole time 40-150 then this was a pretty even race?

that's good considering we have less horsepower and torque..

I'm just quoting the hp / torque from car sites.. I know, the 335 are probably underrated..

335i : 300 hp / 300 tq
RS4 : 420 hp / 317 tq

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Sp...%204&trimid=-1

and the Audi RS4 is a $60k car too.. not including all the extras / packages.. so about 50% more than the 335 base model..

It depends on your conditions and DA that's for sure.
But there is no doubt a v2 only car can trap at 112 mph.
Though it is funny some doubt it...but me pulling on an Audi R8 and v2 only cars running with e92 M3's are just two examples of cars that trap ~112 mph that PROcede v2 cars have run with or even pulled a bit on.

The doubters are more aptly described at haters, but 112 mph is a fair and accurate trap speed to expect out of v2 car.

Have fun.
