Dyno Results From Alphabet Delete & Custom Tune

I just wanted to share the dyno results from my car today. I just picked it up this afternoon from having CBU cleaning, transmission service, dpf delete, EGR block off and SCR coded out. I used the Forbidden One's downpipe, another forum members plates and a Stage II tune from a local BMW specialty shop in Raleigh. I did not feel comfortable shipping my DME all the way to Canada and wanted to be able to tailor the tune to my needs as often as I liked.

All alphabet codes have been coded out, boost parameters with in tolerance and limp mode detectors are active to prevent over boosting etc..

Equipment to bench flash DME

Attachment 1195738

Dyno of Stock Vs. RennTech tune with all emissions in place

Attachment 1195739

Dyno of new tune with alphabet delete

Attachment 1195740

Axel: JessTech made sure I have NO CODES jajajaja

Can you confirm your car is not spraying DEF and EGR is indeed at 0% duty cycle, 100% of the time? The numbers sound good

So you have a Renntech tune? And the shop installed the downpipe and EGR blanks?

Yes, not spraying any urea, 0% duty cycle 100% of the time and both DEF have been flushed with water.

I had the Renntech tune prior to the new upgrades. Then installed downpipe and EGR blockoff plates. The local shop that did it, bench flashed a new completely remapped tune with all emissions codes addressed along with optimized maps for increased performance. Limp mode protection parameters were also kept in place for safety of the engine/turbos and transmission as well as my personal well being.

That's great! Nice to hear of another shop willing to work on these. Is there any more info on this? Shop, cost, SpiderBoot/no SpiderBoot, etc?

Thanks!

i would also like to know this.

also is there a coding option for keeping DPF but coding out CEL for EGR block off? seems like with another tuner JR in order to code out EGR you need to remove DPF and get full alphabet coding. Hey maybe its just not possible due to technical reasons. All or nothing type of thing.

go look at Jarek's thread. A stage 1 would still have DPF left on. I recall someone say that DPF's operation wouldn't quite be the same if EGR were turned off though.

From Jarek's initial post in that thread:
- 45HP 40 LBFT: Stage 1 Tune, all stock components
- 55HP 60 LBFT: Stage 2 Tune, all stock components
- 60HP 70 LBFT: Stage 1 Tune, DPF delete recommended (competition racing use only)
- 70HP 95 LBFT: Stage 2 Tune, DPF delete recommended (competition racing use only)

Your question is worth an email. What you want could be somewhere between rows #1 and #3. If you don't ask, the answer is always no :-)

0% duty cycle is what Axel thought too but that is clearly not the case. Were I you, I'd make sure by logging your data.

There is no Spiderboot available. I was sent a YouTube video of my car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H01q...ature=youtu.be

Hope this helps, since I don't think the pics that I posted can be viewed.

Yes, it is possible to code out just the EGR by itself to facilitate the blockoff plates, remap your car and keep DPF and SCR/urea in place. You don't have to do all of them together.
