M235i Alignment specs?

Hey guy about to install H&R springs on my car , A friend of mine works at a shop with a nice alignment rack he is going to do the alignment for me, does anyone know the stock specs? I just want to know what they are before I go incase they ask me

Maybe a PDF or link to them?

If he has a nice alignment rack, the factory specs will be in the computer.

FYI, there is no factory camber adjustment in the front and these cars typically come with -0.1* to -0.3* camber in the front. Installing the H&R springs should give you another -0.5* of negative camber (+/- a touch).

I assumed that they would be able to get all the factory numbers I just wanted to have them incase

Thank you for your reply , is that extra 0.5 all the way around ? Front and rear I mean ?

No problem. I don't have the factory specs and I think I threw away my last alignment sheet.

Yes, it should be in the area of -0.5* all around....that's what I gained with my H&R springs (228i M Sport w/ THP).

Thanks ! I'll use those as a reference and if their numbers are close to this I'll know I'm good

hey guys, need your opinions on this. I've had my 2016 M235i for a week. here's the wheel alignment specs I got today from winter tire installation. as you can see, most of them are off (positive and negative rear camber, really?). does this look right to you? shouldn't the wheel alignment be checked during PDI?

I'm still pretty unhappy with the floaty feel of my 228i THP after a month and 800 miles. I don't really mind the lightness of the steering, but I feel it should have stronger self-centering. It just seems really hard to keep in a straight line sometimes. I'm having the alignment checked tomorrow morning by a place I trust. I'd be interested to know if you felt any difference in the steering after having yours correctly adjusted?

I am also wondering if there is any deliberate adjustment that could be made to give more self-centering even if the stock settings don't? I don't want to do anything drastic that will cause wear on the suspension or tires, but even just a little would help. Unfortunately I failed Suspension Geometry Theory 101, so I wouldn't know what to suggest.

i think you could increase the toe some for the centering

Caster will add centering but it's not adjustable on our cars. You could add m3 LCA's and get more camber and caster. Too much toe and you are gonna shred your tires in no time.

Thanks, all. I figured the caster wasn't adjustable since it was grey in the printouts a couple of people posted.

Some toe will give the centering effect, don't need much like .05-.08 a degree toe in. Should not effect tire wear much. If your not tracking the car or doing autocross it would be fine.
