In the Milwaukee area, have a few questions
Hey guys,
I've got a F80 coming in late May / early June (hopefully, they keep moving the date around). I was wondering if people have any recommendations for shops that install Passport 9500ci as well as a clear bra installers in the Milwaukee area or even as far as north of Chicago. I got a quote from one BMW dealership in town on the passport 9500 and they claim its a 16 hour install and would be $2300 just in labor. That seemed excessive compared to what other folks were mentioning in the electronics subforum (unless you're getting some custom molding put around the displays to make it look stock). The other dealer in the area wont touch any aftermarket products for installation. I also would like to know if anyone in the area is up for meeting to show me how to code the euro mode on the LED headlights among other things. |

I have no idea. But 16 hours seems very excessive.

I can't help you with your questions sadly but I'm wondering if you could tell us the deal/pricing you received and from what dealer? I'm in the market currently working with both BMW dealers and wouldn't mind some tips!

I went through International Autos around the end of February, talked to the CA and sales manager. I built my preferred M3 got a quote of about 3% off MSRP and told them I had to think about it and left. Came back a week later after doing research and asked for 6% off which seemed about on par with deals folks get here. They accepted it with no hassle and took a deposit. I didn't feel like trying to find a dealer with an allocation and was happy to wait as long as it was this summer and not delivered right when it turned cold again.

Clear Bra
I have a 2015 M4 , I'm thinking about getting the bra (first I'd heard of these recently). Sounds like the Xpel product is the one to get , wondering about how much it costs?

I went with blackout (based on folks here and some independent research)who uses SunTek, reviews seemed to be about on par with Xpel. they quoted me about 1500 for the full front end (full front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors) as well as the luggage area on the rear bumper. Good service, was ready when they said it would be and it looked gorgeous. There were a couple other installers in the area that do Xpel and they quoted me similar numbers. I'd recommend just emailing/calling them and they are more than happy to quote you a price.
