Anyone sell a DPF?

It might make a conversation piece but I'd rather have the money. I see a few of them on eBay, many in Europe. Anyone have any luck selling one online or to a recycler? Thanks, James

If you ever sell the car, don't you need/want to convert it back to OEM spec?

As complex and fussy as that system is, I have my doubts about ever getting it to work again.

I guess if you sell it you can just sell it to another enthusiast and get a bill of sale stating that the car is a track car only not legal for highway use, then at least you have some defense

In that case it cannot be registered to drive.
It's a question I have pondered for a while now. What do I do when I don't want to keep the car anymore? I cannot do it due to our CA smog check, but just in case... what if - scenario.

It should be separate from the title. You don't have to turn in the bill of sale when you register the car, it's just an option to have at least in CA.

But you have to smog it before you sell it.

Obviously it's not an option in CA or other states that have diesel smog testing, not a problem in other states though.
