KW V1 or H&R super sport springs *chime in
Hi everyone!
I just picked a new 2015 435i M Sport and I'm ready to get rid of the horrible wheel gap that plagues our wonderful car. I love the car but I feel like the wheel gap is killing the sporty look of the car. For the past two weeks since ive own the car I've done nothing but debate back in fourth if I want Coilovers or springs. I've narrowed it down too KW V1's or H&R super sport springs. Although money is no object, I'd like to feel like I don't have to spend X-amount to attain the look im trying to achieve without sacrificing the ride. Ive talked to different vendors on the board and one said to go with H&R super sports. I think this might be a good option especially money wise but know the comfort will be sacrificed knowing this will be my daily driver back in fourth from Oc to La. however I did have another vendor say the H&R Springs are gonna be bouncy and suggested to go with Kw V1's rite off the bat. So if you guys have either one. Please chime in on the quality of the ride with pictures. I will be running spacers front and back mostly 15/10 mm. FYi, I have used the search button and still have not come to a good Conclusion . Last edited by r3dtitan; 05-04-2015 at 11:24 PM.. |

Just installed kw v1 about a week ago and I can tell you I absolutely love it. the ride is so much comfortable and the car seems much more planted to the road. taking turns git/ feel that more exciting. And having the ability to adjust your ride to exactly how you want it almost seems priceless. Not to mention, lifetime warranty on parts. I'm definitely happy with my new set up. 👍👍

i figured everyone would say KW's but it makes me wonder why one of the vendors on this forum told me to go with H&R springs.
another thing..... I have the standard suspension with EDC, will this a problem with the coilovers? will i need to purchase the setup with the edc or without? |

If you have the budget for it get coilovers, if not H&R springs are a really good option

Finally placed my order two days ago on my KW V1's and should be receiving it first thing tomorrow. im pretty stoked!!!
The only thing im debating is if I should install it my self or have a shop do it? Ive' worked on suspensions on imports and even installed my own lift on my Nissan titan but never on a BMW especially one that's only 1 month old. what do you guys think? From what I've heard, the f30's (might be the same with your car) is significantly more complicated to swap out compared to previous models. Might want to have a shop do it.
But congrats on the decision! It's gonna be awesome!! |

That's why. If you have EDC then stay with springs so you retain the options and flexibility of EDC. That was a 1000 option so I would keep it. Unless you want to drop it as far as it will go without rubbing and don't care about the EDC function. Thats the reason I went with coil overs so I could put the car where I wanted it height wise, but I also got a car without EDC to avoid wasting money since I knew I was getting coils. |
