It looks like that because of the fenders, but the rear is actually higher.

Dunno, it's the rake look. It helps me jack up the rear, that's for sure :P

They are different. It's in the tire chart in the door jamb if you have the sports suspension. The aspect ratio is a little higher and wider in the rear. I don't remember the difference off the top of my head but I was just looking at it on mine yesterday.

If you don't know it's not a problem, I can tell you: it's a 1.5 mm difference.

If you can tell your rear is higher 1.5 mm than the front, you win a million dollars, to quote the fool above.

So from the factory the height is pretty much the same in the rear and front? What about on the M3? Previous owner of my car lowered the front a bit more than the rear, I thought that was normal.

"Rake" is the term for the rear of a car being higher than the front.
1) It generally helps aerodynamics - notice how much higher the trunklid is than the hood.
2) Have you looked at your car when fully loaded to it's max GVW? Most of the passenger and cargo load goes onto the rear suspension, which will compress it a bit.
3) When the car is moving, the torque applied to the rear tires (assuming not xDrive) lowers the rear somewhat ("weight transfer" is the term.)
4) It looks cool; embodies the look of a fast car.

Because when you stomp on gas the front lifts up to match the rear

Yes I actually was when I wrote that Anyway if u never noticed that a rwd sits lower in the front than the rear compared to an xi ur obviously the fool. I noticed it when I bought mine and then parked up next to an xdrive coupe, the awd was sitting square and the car looks flat overall compared to the stance on the rwd

It's now my turn to say "find the line where I say the car does not appear to be lower in the front than the rear and you win a million dollars". Fun game! For me anyway.
