Worth getting new seats?
I was thinking of getting these Corsa seats for $800 each
What are the pros and cons of getting them? Also, will I have a lot of problems installing them? Where would I go to get them installed? Thanks, just curious. |

Cons: Car will have conniption with no factory seat connected, sacrifice integrity of the original passenger protection system, need to spend another $300+ each for ratcheting 5-point belts (unless you like being pinned to your seat with cheaper ones), seems rather pointless if you're not tracking your car.
Pros: Because race car.

I have Corbeau seats in my eclipse and i can tell you, unless you are going to track the car get them. They arent the most comfortable seats. Although, i have to give it up to the looks, they do look great! Not sure how they would look in the bimmer.

Cons: Need 5 point harness, which requires a roll cage/bar (assuming you want to live), deletes airbags (also assuming you want to live), not adjustable, not the most comfortable things for driving around on the street.
Pros: If its a track car and you have the safety gear, they'll keep you firmly planted. If its a street car, the pros are virtually non-existent. They make street seats which have reclining backs and work with a standard 3 point seatbelt that would be more appropriate for a street car. |

You have a four door, I would suggest putting that money into something other than seats, maybe upgrade the stereo or buy some performance parts? I do like what Douche said, put all or maybe at least some of that money in the bank, you never know when you'll need it later.

There are easier/better ways to look cool and impress friends/girls...
If your a teenager and want to have fun take part of that money and take a few friends and MAYBE even some girls on a badass trip somewhere. Way cooler OH and those look ricer as hell to me but to each their own. |

If you're a teenager just looking to burn some cash, I'd say find a few girls and rent a beach house for the weekend or something |

The seats look cool, but imo unless you are going to run harnesses and a cage, it can make the car unsafe in an accident. Buy some reclinable bucket seats instead.

I appreciate everyone's responses! After reading everyone's responses, I'm definitely not going to get this. I'll just save my money for other mods!
Thanks everyone, I'm dumb for even thinking about getting these. |

Nope, not dumb for thinking or asking. ... I think the seats look cool and there is no shame in asking the forum for an opinion... At the end of the day we are a faceless mob and it really doesn't matter what we think, while we all want the acceptance of strangers you have to drive your car every day so go with what makes your car exciting to you.... now all that said, Those seats would look crap in a bimmer !!!!

OP, does your car have sport pack? If not, then I would recommend sourcing a set of sport seats that match your car. They are a 100% improvement in comfort over the stock seats, they'll retain all the factory features and they will look good.
