Pick the Best Lowering Springs on Stock non-Sport Suspension

I want to reduce the wheel gap, bouncy nose and retain near factory ride quality. I have read all of the reviews and now I want a vote.

Eibach Pro-Kit

H&R Sports (not the Sport Lines)

Dinan

AC Schnitzer

Thanks!

It's hard to vote fairly because i didn't try all of them...

I just happen to have installed the H&R sport and i am very happy with it.

No more bouncing around foolishly, the ride is not harsh, which satisfies the missus.
No wheel gap.

Switch your tires to NON RFT for a quieter ride.
Add spacers to have the wheels flush with the body panel.

My F30 Luxury line is NOW compliant as if i am driving my old E36 on OEM sport Bilstein suspension...

Dinan has been awesome. I have an x-drive, and the gap was just silly. The car rides so much better now. Feels much more planted and less floaty. The gap is gone and the car sits perfect. H&R would be too low for me, as I'm a real estate agent and have to drive in to some pretty gnarly driveways. Dinan lets me get away with lots still.

I have the same question here. What's the best ride quality, not too low, and won't mess up my entire alignment, suspension, negative camber?

I just put M Sport springs on my 2013 335 Xdrive. Dialed out the roll and lowered the ride height by 3/4". Ride is seat of the pants about 10% firmer. Happy with result and no need to re align anything

If you don't mind me asking, what's the cost for a set of M sport springs? Parts guys, techs, and sales guys at BMW themselves recommended Dinan.

I bought a set used from a guy on this bulletin board who wanted something much firmer...$200.00 shipped and included the shocks. His car was a 2013 2WD F30 335 M Sport and only had 26000 on it so the parts were as new. I retained my factory shocks because the fronts are X-Drive specific. I had already gone the route of trying Bilstein B6s on my previous 2013 328 XDrive....it was ok but honestly too firm for the DREADFUL roads we have to deal with around metro NY. Also by the time I moved that car on for the 335 that I got, (6 speed MT too), the top hats were getting noisy.
So I have standard ride but lowered just enough to get rid of 90% of the roll and the car is FAR more stable at highway speeds....all for $200 and about 4 hours of my time. Only special tool you need is a GOOD spring compressor which I got on ebay for $60.00

Were these the red ones that's sold as part of the upgrade kit for the RWD cars?

I have voted for the Dinan and will be...hopefully...doing the install this weekend. From what I could gather from the research I have done, this is the better option if you wish to retain your stock struts. Ride quality kit is also recommended - although you could go with getting the bump stops yourself, if you wanted to save some cash.

MPerformance suspension also ranks very high, but for xdrive cars you also need to upgrade the antisway bars...so for me that was a step too far.

Whatever you choose, make sure you get matching shocks. The stock shocks are the cause of the bouncy nose

I know I asked about the bump stops before in another thread but I lost the link. Did you end up ordering them yourself? If so, do you have the part numbers? I have a 2014 328i X Drive. Thanks~

I don't have the part numbers of the bump stops. I bought the ride quality kit from Dinan. For your car, the part number is D193-3021. $164 for your car.

What I can say is that the fronts were cut down and the rears were unmodified. It might be different for your car, but if you do buy them from somewhere other than Dinan, you have to figure out how to do that.

I reused the accordian boots from the front and the left the rears alone because the new bump stops didn't fit the original boots. Your car may be different. I have a 335i xdrive.
