Private Plate Retention Certificate.
Have taken the PP off my soon to be sold car, and sent form to retain plate , £80 and V5 to DVLA last week. Today,I got back new V5 with car on its original plate and 15 (I kid you not) copies of an A5 flyer about taxing a new car (current one is taxed until Feb '16!), but no retention certificate.
I'm sure that previously they've come back in the same envelope. DVLA website doesn't say anything. Does anybody know what the case is? Cheers |

....and maybe they want you to distribute the A5 flyer to 14 of your friends? |

Thanks for the advice guys. It's only been 10 days since I sent it in, and although I've got the new V5, they still haven't banked the cheque (do you think they'll know (come after me!) if I cancel it????) so I'll leave it a few more weeks until I start chasing it up.
