Halogen to Angeleye help!

Hey guys,

So I'm wanting to change my halogen headlamps to Angel Eyes. I own a 2008 BMW 328i E90. It has the plain old school yellow headlights which I find hideous.

I went online and found these depo headlights for a good price. It's also nice because it has a clear corner.

[URL="http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-Factory-Seal-09-11-BMW-E90-E91-4D-LED-ANGEL-HALO-HEADLIGHT-CLEAR-CORNER-/171779188079?fits=Make%3ABMW&hash=item27fed6656f&v xp=mtr"]

I did notice however that at the bottom of the ebay post. It states that this WILL NOT FIT FOR XENOX HEADLAMPS. (Which I don't think I have lol )

Anyways, what do you guys think about these lights? Do you think I'd have an issues with installing or get any error codes?

Thanks guys!

I'm right where you are. 09 328i. I am ordering my lights from bavauto.com. I got to talk to a rep. I gave him the last seven digits of my VIN and he told me exactly what to order. Comes to about 158 with shipping.

I have not gotten them installed yet, once I do I will post a picture. I wanted to make sure that this swap would look factory. It isn't that I don't trust eBay I just would rather get parts from companies that experience or specialize in aftermarket BMW parts

Hey there pacman. Fishcake is reputable as a few members I can recall have purchased from him. However as price is ALWAYS a factor for us "ballerz on a budget", I continued my search. Well, to make a long story longer, I found a guy and got the DEPO lights he was offering...BAM!

Here's the eBay seller's >>LINK<<.

These headlights are great 'cause those LED rings are mega bright, but they're still Halogens. However, you can buy brighter and whiter halogen bulbs(which I have yet to install). I chose "Sylvania Silverstar ULTRA H7's". Also found a guy that sells these for near half of what you'll pay at the auto store. Here's his >>LINK<<. Good luck man!

Thank you!

Dude those look hot. I'm definitely considering it even more now! Thank you so much for those links! Actually, I've been trying to find a pic with a black e90 and those lights and I couldn't since my e90 is black too!

I'll keep in touch and let you know how it goes!

This is what brought me to this site when I had my 07. There was a dude on here that did the conversions. He used OEM LCI and PRE-LCI xenon headlights. Price started at about $1200 and up, was well worth the money though. For the time I owned the car I never had any issues with them. Remember you get what you pay for. Back then we were turning everyone away from the cheap, Chinese made, ebay headlights.

There is no way on God's green earth you are getting OEM Xenon BMW headlights for $158. If you mean $1,580 then yes that makes sense because the headlights alone are over $1k+ .

Now these are the right prices .
Looks like ECS is selling conversion kits

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-328...hts/ES2063771/
European Adaptive Curve Bi-Xenon Headlight Kit
$2,000

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-328...lights/ES9941/
European Bi-Xenon Headlight Kit non-adaptive
$1527

This is the route I would got with.. If you don't have the cash then wait a little bit till you do and do it right.
If you search around you might find these REAL kits a bit cheaper elsewhere but like I said before if you want the real deal then be ready to spend over $1k (for OEM xenon headlights that are converted).

Thanks so much for the advice lol. I definitely don't want anything cheap as in build quality. I will check out these sites and make the call from there.

The pics don't do these headlights justice. Let me put it to you this way, I have a 40 mile commute home every night and since I installed these lights a couple weeks ago, there's been a few other motorists each night that mistake me for having high beams on as they'll get behind me and flash theirs. Of course I'll flash mine just to let 'em know it's on lows, but whatever. As far as HID's go, my thinking is more tech, more money, more possibility of problems. I try to keep things simple, hell, it's a simple car(325i).
