335d exhaust sound finally recorded

Was asked how my car sounds a bit like Darth Vader now had the exhaust done. Couldn't really describe it any better so stuck a mic on the car's backside this morning.

First file is just revving at standstill and second is accelerating foot to floor in first few gears.

In the accelerating one, that isn't wind noise (use a pro Beyer mic with softie duck-taped to car), that's the exhaust.

It's definitely different to the stock sound.

Death Vader ??? It's a bit Darth Choir Boy.

Seems higher in pitch to standard.

Sounds good though.

top tip don't play this when wfie / partner around, I made a vain attempt at explaining was listening to someone's exhaust noise - from the look I got, I will be buying lunch today lol.

You know of many diesels that pop, rasp and bang? It's a tractor for gawd's sake. You don't buy one for the sound it makes. That's what the 6 pot petrol's for!

Just played that by accident through 2500 watts of Cambridge Audio system. Nearly fell off my chair.

Sounds slightly different to mine, but of course you have the double exit and I stuck with the single.

Sounds different to mine!

It will be good to hear compare them at the Surrey Rolling road meet next month.

Honestly, I really don't hear that kind of rushing air noise on mine!

More a change in the rumble, especially on start up.
