Why no BMW M Perfomance power kit for the N20 engine

I'm sure this question has been raised multiple times, but after searching I couldn't find any clear answers. Appears that the Kit is now available for most engines bar the 2.8i, is there a technical reason? I ask as I hit the 50 mark on Friday and the wife asked if there was anything she could buy me for the car, so I went searching. The power kit looked like a bit of fun and as it was fitted by BMW no warranty issues.

No idea why to be honest. Think you should consider the MPE as an alternative

We make one that gives you nearly as much power as a 35i and with a better power-to-weight ratio.

Hi Lorcan, I did see the Schnitzner version, but as the car is new I'm just wary of any warranty issues with BMW.

ACS cover the warranty on their upgrade. Theirs or BMW PPK (if there is one) are the 2 safest upgrades for cars in warranty

You do know it isn't a 2.8i and actually a 2.0 Turbo Injected engine in the 428i? May aid you in your searches....

2.8i engine is already pushed hard enough imo.
needs some headroom to chip it.
like 2.5 ltrs and 6 cylinders

Yeah sorry I know it's a 2L, although as it shows I'm a novice when it becomes technical.

We warrant the engine/drivetrain against any tuning-related faults, the rest of the car stays warranted by BMW as usual.

There is a fair bit of headroom on this motor. Our 294hp-rated demo car actually made 315hp on the dyno.
