Are F80/F82s lacquered in the engine bays?

My F31 is missing lacquer in the engine bay, which seems to be the norm, but this thread has a photo of an M4 with what appears to be lacquer in the bay: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1124776

I'm assuming this is just BMW being cheap on the lower end model ranges?

No lacquer in the engine bay on any model as the paint process is the same....

Definitely lacquer in the door shuts, it really looks like there's some under the bonnet here:

Individual option colours are painted differently to the regular ones.Was probably done by blokes with actual spray guns than the robots.
