Questions on key setting
Hello,
I recently purchased 2010 328i, and I have a question on using a key to lock, unlock the car. I know bmw has been used the system that you keep pressing lock button, it close all the windows and sun roof from out side of car. Mine does not do it. I pressed the lock button, and kept holding it, but windows and sunroof did not close. Do I have to code it? My e36 m3 had the function, and I do not believe 2010 model did not come with it? My car did not come with connivence package. Any advice on this? |

This function has not been enabled for a long time. You can open all windows and sunroof using the keyfob BUT NOT CLOSE them.
This is because of a safety regulation.

With my keyfob I can open and close. By pressing the button twice in a row I even can automatically roll down the driver side window half way to make it easier entering the (E92) car in narrow parking spaces. So everything should be a matter of coding.
