Heated steering wheel - coding

Hope someone with a bit of coding know how will know this. Currently my car doesn't have the heated steering wheel function, but if I buy a new steering wheel with it, can that be coded to work (using a button on the MULF wheel) or will it require new wiring looms to be enabled?

Thanks!

It will also require a new steering column cover with the heated sw button on it, and the button and wiring i believe. Should be similar to this F10 retrofit:
