Turbofan oil leak
Hello everyone!
I changed my CV boot yesterday and the mechanic told me I have a turbofan oil leak. The car drives just fine. How serious of a problem is this? It will cost alot to fix it. Thanks. AB |

All joking aside, he probably actually said turbocharger oil leak. I'm not super up on N54 repair and maintenance, but I think oil leaks are generally fixed by replacing the turbo, which is expensive as balls. Someone please correct me on that. EDIT: Unless it's just an external hose leaking, which would be pretty easy and cheap to fix.

I have leak originating from directly above down pipes. While I can't tell 100% from underneath it looks like coming from turbo area |
