Somebody spat on my car
Some animal spat right in the middle of the hood of my car, whilst it was parked in the parking garage at work. A real nasty spit. Apart from the fact that whoever did this is apparently mentally sub-normal, despite washing the car a couple of times, I cannot get rid of the residue it has left behind; it is almost like it is burned into the paint (sapphire black)
So first question: does anyone have any tips for how to get rid of the residue? Second question:WTF makes people do something like that? Thanks. |

did you try to use compound and buff it out?
Had this happened to my cousin car in the past and he had to repaint because it was parked in the sun all day. |

You can use a cloth dip it in some brake fluid and slightly rub the residue but make it fast then quickly rinse with water. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Spit is acidic, not as bad as an egg yolk, but it does burn into the clearcoat. You may want to look for solutions used for eggs.

You should have taken a sample for DNA analysis.
Gone down the lab, run the sample for a match, got his address, waited outside for him then KILL HIM. Thats what I would do. (Just kiddin, in case the feds read these forums and have any unsolved murders they need to pin on someone)

You need a paint cleaner/polisher to get deep stains out. These types of stains are usually in your clear coat and have not penetrated all the way into the paint itself.
Look for some mild cleaners/polishers and work to a more aggressive one if they don't get the stain out. Always be careful not to eat past the clear and dig into you paint. All I can say is be smart and do your research before having a go at it or take it to the pros. GL P.S. The person that spat on your car is a POS. |

How many mentally subnormal people do you have working for you? That, and DNA testing should identify the culprit.
